Detaching a static public IP address or Skytap-managed DNS name from a VM
To detach a static public IP address or DNS from a VM

Navigate to the VM Settings > Network Adapters page for the VM you want to edit.

Navigate to the environment.

Click
(Settings) for the VM you want to edit.

If the Settings button is not visible, you do not have permission to edit the VM settings. Work with your instructor or Skytap administrator to edit these settings.

The VM Settings page displays. The Network Adapters tab is selected by default.

Click Show public IPs to display the public IP address and DNS information.

Click Detach next to the DNS name or static public IP address.
