AIX in Skytap walk-through
Welcome. This guide helps you build and explore your first Skytap environment using AIX VMs. Before you begin, make sure you meet the Access requirements.
The walk-through is divided into seven sections:
- Step 1: Creating your first AIX environment – Create an environment from a Skytap template.
- Step 2: Adding more VMs to your environment – Extend your environment by adding more VMs.
- Step 3: Accessing the environment – Start your environment and interact with it.
- Step 4: Creating and using a template – Save the environment as a template and then create another environment from the template.
- Step 5: Connecting environments – Configure the environments to communicate with each other.
- Step 6: Testing the connection between environments – Verify that the environments are connected.
- Step 7: Cleaning up – Delete the resources you just created.
The entire walk-through should take less than an hour.
