Viewing Learning Console activity in Course Manager
When a lab end user interacts with the Manual in the Learning Console, Course Manager displays these actions on the lab end user’s Activity page. For information about viewing a summary of Learning Console activity for all participants in an event, see Viewing the event activity summary.
Notes
- You can view a lab end user's Activity page only if the user has access to a Manual.
- When you view the Learning Console in preview mode, Course Manager doesn't display your actions in the Manual on the lab end user's Activity page.

Viewing the activity for an event participant
To view activity for an event participant
- In the Course Manager navigation bar, click Events. The Events page displays.

Click one of the following tabs:
- In Progress – For an event currently in progress.
- Upcoming – For an event in the future.
- Past – For an event that has ended.
- Click the name of the event. The event details page displays.
- On the event details page, click the Participants tab.

Choose one of the following to display the event participant’s Activity page:
- Click
(pages completed in the Manual) next to the participant name in the Instructors or Students section.
- Click the drop-down menu next to the participant name in the Instructors or Students section, and then click View activity.

Viewing the activity for an on-demand lab
To view activity for an on-demand lab

In the Course Manager navigation bar, click All Labs. The Labs page displays.
The term Lab in the Course Manager interface is configurable for your account and may be replaced by another term such as Demo.

Click one of the following tabs:
- Active – If the lab hasn’t been consumed.
- Consumed – If the lab has been consumed.

Choose one of the following to display the lab’s Activity page:
- Click
(pages completed in the Manual) next to the lab name.
- Click the drop-down menu next to the lab name, and then click View activity.
You can also View activity from the Lab actions drop-down menu on the details page for a lab.

Using the fields on the Activity page
The following fields display on the Activity page:
- Date/Time – Displays the date and time when the action occurred.
- Page Number – Displays the page number in the Manual where the action occurred.

Activity Type – Displays one of the following:
- Command – The lab end user clicked a command in the Manual.
- Question – The lab end user answered a question in the Manual.
- Marked latest page done – The lab end user clicked
(Mark Done & Continue) or
(Mark Done) in the Manual.
- Marked earliest page not done – The lab end user clicked
(Mark Not Done) in the Manual.
- Page visit – The lab end user visited a page in the Manual.
- Activity Name – Displays the command Description if Activity Type is Command or the question Prompt if Activity Type is Question.

Result – Displays the result of the action taken.
- If Activity Type is Marked latest page done, Marked earliest page not done, or Page visit, Result displays Success.

If Activity Type is Command and Command behavior is Don’t notify and don’t block or Don’t notify and block until pressed, Result displays one of the following:
- Triggered – The command has been clicked in the Manual, but CMHelper or CMSysHelper hasn’t received and accepted the command.
- Acknowledged – The command has been clicked in the Manual, and CMHelper or CMSysHelper has received and accepted the command.

If Activity Type is Command and Command behavior is Notify and don’t block, Notify and block until pressed, or Notify and block until successful, Result displays one of the following:
- Triggered – The command has been clicked in the Manual, but CMHelper or CMSysHelper hasn’t received and accepted the command.
- Pending – The command has been clicked in the Manual and CMHelper or CMSysHelper has received and accepted the command, but the VM hasn’t responded.
- Unknown – The command has been clicked in the Manual and CMHelper or CMSysHelper has received and accepted the command, but connection to CMHelper or CMSysHelper was lost before the VM could respond and the command timeout period has passed.
- Failure – The command has been clicked in the Manual, CMHelper or CMSysHelper has received and accepted the command, the VM has responded, and the response had an exit code other than zero.
- Success – The command has been clicked in the Manual, CMHelper or CMSysHelper has received and accepted the command, the VM has responded, and the response had an exit code of zero (success or finished script).

If Activity Type is Question, Result displays one of the following:
- Failure – The question wasn’t correctly answered.
- Success – The question was correctly answered.

Result Data – Displays additional information about the Result.
- If Activity Type is Command and Result is Failure or Success, Result Data displays the command output and Command to execute.
- If Activity Type is Command and Result is Unknown, Result Data displays the command timeout.
- If Activity Type is Question, Result Data displays the lab end user’s answer, correct answer, and Question type.

Sorting and filtering activity for a lab end user
To sort activity for a lab end user
- Click the name of the column you want to sort. The page updates with the column values sorted in ascending order.
- To sort in descending order, click the name of the column again.
To filter a lab end user’s activity data
- Click
(Filters) on the upper right corner of the page. The filter options display.
- Select the values you want to filter on, and click Filter. The page reloads with the filtered values.
- To reset the filter and display all the lab end user’s activity data again, open the filter options and click Reset.
