Step 7: Cleaning up

AIX support in Skytap walk-through

To complete this section, you must first finish Step 6: Testing the connection between environments.

After you complete all the steps in this walk-through, delete your environments and template.

Deleting an environment or template is a permanent action.

If you want to further experiment with the environments and template that you just built, you can delete them later. However, if you want to test AIX support in Skytap with your own data, we recommend that you start with a new environment using one of the following templates:

  • AIX 7.1 TL4 SP4
  • AIX 7.2 TL1 SP2

Delete the environments

To delete your environments
  1. From the navigation bar, click Environments. The list of environments displays.
  2. Click multiple select to enable multiple selection.

  3. Select AIX-Beta-1 and AIX-Beta-2.
  4. Click delete (Delete). The Delete Environments warning dialog displays.

    Deleting an environment is a permanent, irreversible action.

  5. Click delete environments (Delete Environments). The environments are deleted.

Delete the template

To delete your template
  1. Click the Templates tab. The template list displays.
  2. Click drop-down.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Delete template. delete template
